Material Planning & Logistics Manager
📌 Location: Oxfordshire area (commutable from Swindon, Banbury, Cheltenham).

What will you be doing?
➡️ Taking full ownership of materials planning, production scheduling, logistics, and dispatch operations across the business.
➡️ Auditing and redesigning planning processes to improve Supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD) and overall production efficiency.
➡️ Building realistic production and material plans that balance service levels, capacity, and inventory.
➡️ Leading the customer service function, managing day-to-day interactions with automotive OEMs (including JLR, Ford, and Bentley).
➡️ Overseeing goods-in processing, stock management, and finished goods shipping.
➡️ Full responsibility for the department, including recruitment, mentoring, upskilling, and performance management.
➡️ Promoting lean and improvement initiatives across all supply chain processes.
➡️ Driving company performance through KPI monitoring and delivering detailed monthly MP&L activity reports to the Management Team.
What will help you get the job done?
💡 Leadership experience in a supply chain function in the automotive manufacturing sector (Tier 1, Tier 2, OEM) is essential.
💡Deep operational knowledge across the end-to-end supply chain, specifically in material planning (call-offs), production scheduling (MPS), and managing the customer interface.
💡 Strong understanding of IATF 16949 standards and practical experience managing Automotive OEM portals.
💡 Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, ideally with previous exposure to system migrations or implementations.
💡 A hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving. You should be comfortable working autonomously and managing change.
💡 Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage complex relationships with both internal production teams and high-pressure external customers.
