🚀 Application Engineer Ref. no: AE/08/24/FL
🎯 Role: You will be responsible for providing technical support and designing products for customer applications. This role involves collaborating with customers and sales teams, troubleshooting application issues and supporting manufacturing processes.
📍Location: On site - Florida, Pompano Beach or Texas, Houston.
What will you be doing?
🚀Selection and design of products for customer applications:
- Working with customers and sales team to gather requirements when needed
- Working with product design standards and tools
- Creating non-standard product based on engineering principles
- Creating quotation drawings and material masters
- Reviewing and approving manufacturing drawings
🚀General technical support to customers on products
- Providing consultation on product selection/application
- Working directly with external customers
- Troubleshooting application issues with the product
- Performing and coordinating failure analysis
🚀Provide technical support to manufacturing and service centers
🚀 Engineering Process Improvement
- Providing feedback through appropriate communication channels on internal product standards and tools; considering inefficiencies, technical errors or needed functionality improvement
- Engaging in activities as needed for testing / development of new/revised engineering tools
What will help you get the job done?
🎯Minimum 4-year technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
🎯Specialized knowledge in: rings and packing components, reciprocating compressor design and application, metallic and polymeric materials, machining and finishing of metals and polymers, compressible fluids, tribology, and processes in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industry
🎯Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering positions, with at least one position at a manufacturing company
🎯Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
🎯Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
🎯Ability to perform basic solid modeling, CAD, and PDM activities using Autodesk Inventor and Vault - nice to have
🎯Willingness to occasional domestic travel and international travel
