Credit Risk Manager, Czech Republic

💯 You will own the entire credit cycle from initiation of application to money disbursement and collection for the digital business.
🌍 Ownership of the risk processes for the Czech Republic.
📍 Prague or Warsaw, hybrid work model.
Your role:
✨ Taking a test-and-learn approach towards the creation and governance of credit processes, being quick to tighten, relax or challenge credit and fraud controls where they are not in support of the business strategy.
✨ Taking ownership of the rules, models, decisions, and automated systems across the credit risk lifecycle.
✨ Maintaining and ensuring effective reporting on the credit systems in place, being open to challenge and feedback.
✨ Managing collection strategy and operations.
✨ Managing underwriting strategy and operations ensuring its focus on quality decisions while controlling costs related to customer assessment.
✨ Constantly evaluating the profitability of a product/channel and proposing actions to address any challenges or utilize opportunities, e.g. product parameters changes.
✨ Noticing key trends and patterns across the risk landscape and quickly acting upon them, getting a real buzz from recommending and implementing new strategies and approaches to further support customer growth.
✨ Building relationships with key partners, working with stakeholders from within the business and external to ensure you can acquire the right tools and processes to deliver the business plan.
✨ Put customer experience and innovation at the heart of the business processes – have this in mind when approaching all risk management activity.
What will help you get the job done:
💡 5+ years of experience in credit risk, additionally, managing small teams would be an asset.
💡Consumer credit experience in digital space (e.g. digital lending, non-banking financial institution, retail banking).
💡 Experience in successfully implementing credit risk systems.
💡 Knowledge of credit risk processes, credit scoring, and portfolio management.
💡 Experience in building strong relationships with stakeholders and external partners.
💡 Good understanding of statutory, legal and regulatory requirements.
💡 Exposure to working in an international business that works cross-culturally.
💡 Very good language skills in written and spoken English (C1) are essential.
💡Ability to effectively influence and challenge others.
💡Creativity and an aptitude for problem-solving.
Additionally:
🎯 Good knowledge of collections systems and processes (would be a plus).
🎯 Fraud management (ideally within a digital environment) – would be perfect.
